Here are some tips for caring for a cutting board, wood serving tray or cheese board:

Wash by hand
Use warm water and dish soap, and a sponge or washcloth to gently remove food particles. Avoid soaking the board or using abrasive cleaners or scrub brushes.

Rinse and dry
Rinse the board thoroughly to remove all soap, and dry it immediately with a towel. Let it air dry standing up or on a raised rack so both sides are exposed to air.

Avoid the dishwasher
The heat and detergents in the dishwasher can damage the wood and void warranties. Only plastic, composite, or glass boards can go in the dishwasher.

Season
Apply our food grade BUTCHERS BLOCK CONDITIONER to the board every month or so.

Sanitize
Sanitize the board with diluted white vinegar or a combination of bleach and water.
